Hi Franklin College students--I have a question regarding admissions. My daughter is hoping to be admitted to Franklin in 2009--how difficult is it to get admitted? We visited the campus last month and just loved the school.
Her overall GPA is a 3.7, her ACT score is a 26. She will be retaking the ACT in June.
What were your experiences or what do you know about admittance?

Re: Another question for you
I'm a junior at Franklin. There is a storage company in Lugano called Tanzi, and we store our stuff with them over the summer. Depending on the dorm, all dorms come with bed, desk, closet, chair, etc. You won't need to buy furniture. Dorms with kitchens come with sufficient pots/pans/plates/etc. There's an IKEA nearby and three great Swiss department stores (Manor, Migros, COOP) are all downtown and sell everything we need/want. Stores aren't too bad. The four I mentioned are good prices. Courses are challenging and our professors are extremely qualified.

Great, thanks so much Carla! That is really helpful info. I sure hope my daughter gets in there--it is such a beautiful place. It is her first choice school. You must be having the time of your life. I wish I had known about a great school like Franklin when I was in college. (I studied French in college at the Univ. of Kansas, and then Education at the University of Hawaii--I am now a French teacher in Pennsylvania.
I think that what you are doing studying in Europe is just incredibly wonderful and brave of you! Enjoy & take care--Pamela
